Project Overview

Enhancing Hiring Efficiency and Learning Effectiveness at MSys Technology

While working at MSys Technologies, I took on the role of a design lead for Assessment application, as company aimed to develop an all-in-one platform to handle learning, recruitment, on-boarding, and human resources management in-house. In this capacity, I spearheaded the design of two essential modules: the Assessment and Learning platform.

Assessment Platform

Research

Understanding the Need

In the process of designing the MSys Technologies HRMS, Assessment, and Learning platform, user interviews played a crucial role. These interviews aimed to understand the needs, pain points, and expectations of all stakeholders such as administrators, recruiters, test creators, candidates, and current users of third-party applications integrated into the existing interview and HRMS process.

Insights from User Research

- Repeated and Leaked Questions : Hiring managers expressed concerns about leaked and repeated questions on existing third-party assessment platforms, compromising assessment integrity.
- Lack of Features and Customizations :  Hiring managers identified critical features missing in third-party platforms that were necessary to improve productivity and user satisfaction.
- Project Scoping and Market Fit : Developing all modules simultaneously could pose challenges and risks if the product does not achieve optimal market fit.

Pain Point Analysis

After initiating work on the Assessment platform as the first module, it became essential to grasp the decision-making journey of Hiring Managers to visualize pain points and deliver optimal solutions.

User Flow

There were two primary users for the Assessment platform:
1. Test Managers, responsible for creating assessments
2. Candidates, who take the assessments.
To fully map out the application's user flow, I also detailed the journey of the Hiring Manager, who acts as a bridge between Test Managers and Candidates.
Recruiter - User who are going to assign it to the candidate
Test Manager - User who will create test
Candidate - User who will give test
