About the Project

Cantaloupe’s Seed Pro application is a 15 years old legacy web application that has been used by Retail operators based in the USA. This web application manages revenue and product flow from the warehouse to its vending machine. The objective was to increase the user base and build a seamless user experience by targeting on the problem areas faced by the current operators. As a part of the design team, led the in-depth analysis of the current system and created a feasible outcome that helped secure the contract for the company.

Landing page - Real Time tracking

The interactive graphs feature allows users to visualize their sales/ revenue. The dashboard give an overview of the current inventory of vending machine and informs user of the any technical issue/alerts with the vending machine.

Pain - Points

Develop a web application that supports vending machine retailers with critical insights, enhance route efficiency, and monitor vending machine health in real-time, all while harnessing the power of cashless telemetry. The app should address the challenges of accessing real time information, overcoming language barriers, providing reliable customer experience.

Understanding user needs and expectations

During our research, we discovered users’ primary concerns on landing page, complex system flow, timely and smooth resolutions of issues raised, money management, tracking sales and creating a setup of machinesThis gave us the opportunity to design and conceptualize features that cater to these concerns to enhance the overall experience customers’ journey.

Heuristic Evaluations

To redesign the existing application, we have undergone a comprehensive design principles and heuristics evaluation, analyzing key aspects of usability, functionality, and user satisfaction. By aligning with recognized usability heuristics, we have prioritized clarity, efficiency, and system status visibility to enhance the overall user experience. Our focus on intuitive navigation, seamless integration, data-driven decision making, and accessibility ensures a user-friendly and effective solution for unattended retailers seeking critical operational insights.
